Donations are Eligible for a Rebate
Donations to Winnipeg City Councillor campaigns are not tax deductable but they are eligible for a rebate! Donation amounts of $25-$300 are paid back at a rate of 75%, while amounts from $301 to $750 (the maximum) are paid back at a rate of 50%. For example: if you donate $200, the City will pay you back $150.

Contribution Rules
- I am a resident of Manitoba and this contribution is made by me, from my own funds.
- I understand there is a legal maximum contribution per person to a Winnipeg City Councillor campaign, and my total contributions to this campaign will not exceed that maximum.
- The name and residential address I provide are accurate and complete.
- I will be required to sign an official contribution receipt; eligibility for any rebate is determined by the City of Winnipeg and requires the donor to submit the required documentation to the City Clerk’s Department.
- Contributions that are prohibited, ineligible, or otherwise non-compliant will be directed to the City of Winnipeg’s general revenue as required by applicable law.
- I consent to the collection, use, and disclosure of my personal information for campaign finance compliance, receipt issuance, audit, and reporting as required by law.
- Contributions are not tax-deductible for income tax purposes.
